Bio - John was born in Wadsworth, Ohio and was raised across several small towns in Arkansas. A first team All-State high school player, he would go on to play at Ole Miss. John suffered a torn ACL in his freshmen year and was hampered by numerous knee surgeries. These limited his time on the court, but he still played a role on the team that ended up with the best record in school history 27-8 and made a run to the sweet sixteen in the NCAA tournament his senior year.
John was co-president of his FCA huddle in high school and a part of the FCA Leadership Team at Ole Miss. After graduating with a BBA degree with an emphasis in marking, he came on staff with FCA in August of 2001. John now supervises the ministry of FCA across the District 2 and 3 areas and is able to focus ministry in 4 counties (DeSoto, Marshall, Benton, and Tippah Counties).
June 13, 2009 marked the date that John married his beautiful first wife, Amanda. From Greenville, MS and a graduate of Ole Miss class of 2005, Amanda has taught school in Marks and Water Valley, MS. Most recently, she taught high school French at Southaven High School and currently works part-time as an office manager for GO Orthodontics, as well as, splitting time as a stay at home mom.
John and Amanda had a daughter, Molly Kate, on December 10, 2012. Molly was called home to be with the LORD on March 25, 2013. Molly was a well-tempered, big, healthy baby girl, the cause of her death could not be determined (SIDS). The LORD saw fit that her time on Earth was complete after 105 days. Their second born child, Jack, arrived in, 2014 and their third born, Max, in 2015 and Charlie their 3rd son in 2017.
